Throw Up A Book

On Monday, I hosted a free webinar on How to Close Out 2023 and Plan for 2024.

I'm going into the new year LIGHT and with a PLAN. So is everyone who joined. If you missed the livestream, you can catch the replay through the link at the bottom!

One thing I have planned for 2024 is to provide the most value to our community through deep-dives into specific topics. A live webinar every single month.

It's called The Round Table and I'm hosting ten live coaching calls plus additional expert-led workshops and powerful community connection opportunities.

Drawing from my experience of authoring two books, with two more in the pipeline, one of them will be on 'How to Become a Better Writer'.

This one, like all of them, isn't just about sharing my journey; it's about equipping you with the tools to realize your writing aspirations and to become a more effective communicator in general.

I want to share insights from me and other accomplished authors, as we explore what works in the writing and publishing world.

So, in that spirit, I’d like to share a straightforward and yet effective trick I learned:

The VOMIT DRAFT.

The most common mistake writers make is that every time they sit down to write, they read, edit, and work on their first 30 pages—and they never finish.

Literally, every time they sit down, it’s working on the first 30, night after night, day after day.

So, if you’re writing a book, screenplay, or an article, just throw it up onto the page. Don’t stop, even if you know something isn’t going to work, just write it. Get it all out.

It’s INFINITELY easier to work on a bad first draft than hundreds of blank pages—the chances of you finishing your book after a VOMIT DRAFT is exponentially higher.

I have all of my 10 calls in mind, and I'm curious to hear from you—what other skills would spark your interest that I could bring expert guests in to cover?

Let's make 2024 a year of growth and achievement together!
